Apple Notes

Notes, in one form or another, has been part of the Mac for as long as I can remember.

In OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion, Notes is an independent Application that can be synced with your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

As you generally have one Apple device with you throughout the day, any note you make, is a note you will always have at hand.

So… Why would you bother with notes?

Here are 10 good uses:

  1. List of medications – Doctors always seem to ask for this even though they wrote the damn prescriptions.
  2. Movies, books and music you’d like to buy.
  3. Emails you want to keep can be pasted into Notes.
  4. It’s a great place to jot down the name of some technical gadget you need, but can never remember the name of.
  5. Easy place to store web clippings.
  6. Clothes measurements for your kids, wife, husband or anyone special you buy these kinds of gifts for.
  7. If you’re an independent contractor, it’s handy to have a list of pre-calculated rate totals for periods of time.
  8. Car licence plate number… I can never remember mine.
  9. Prices of items you see at the store.
  10. Good place to write an incredible love story that will touch the hearts of millions.
