If you ever use Applecare or call Apple Support, one of the first things you’ll need is your Mac’s serial number.
Finding it is easy… once you know how:
- Click on the black Apple logo in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
- Select About This Mac.
- A box appears that provides some basic information.
- Now, hold the Control key down and click on the gray OSX Version number. One click will change it to the Build No. A second click will change it to the Serial Number.
- You can close the window when you are finished.
In the images above, I’ve redacted part of my Serial Number in case any readers want to use it for nefarious purposes.
