Apple Mac Dashboard

Dashboard is an screen overlay that gives you instant access to small apps, known as widgets, that perform specific tasks, e.g., package tracking, flight information, weather, stock prices, etc.,.

Dashboard literally appears and disappears with a single keystroke.
