Super Mac Shortcuts
Forget fiddling with menus or moving the mouse around.
The fastest way to do anything on a Mac is to use a simple keystroke combination.
What Am I Talking About?
When you type the “h” character a lower case “h” appears on the screen.
If you hold the Shift key down and type “h”, you get an upper case “H”.
The Shift key is known as a Modifier key because it modifies a keystroke.
Other Modifier keys include Control, Option, and Command, located on the bottom left-hand of your keyboard.
Don’t freak out… they work just like the Shift key. Hold one down and hit another key for a ‘ keystroke combination’
I Won’t Be Able To Remember This!
I know . . . This is why I created 2 print outs with the most commonly used keystroke combinations.
Click on either or both of the images below and you’ll be taken to a PDF that you can print and keep near your Mac.
Try to use just one a day and soon you’ll be an expert 🙂
If It’s Blue You Know What To Do
Whenever you encounter a dialog box with a blue button, you don’t have to fumble with the mouse to click on that button.
If the button is blue, hit Return or Enter and it will make that choice.
