The first time you write to someone, you may get the email address wrong. It will bounce back with an error message saying Address Not Found or Message Not Delivered.

The problem now is that Apple Mail remembers the incorrect address and it will pop up every time you try to mail that person.

To get rid of this address, click on Window then choose Previous Recipients. In the pop-up window, you can either Search or simply choose an email address you want to delete. Click Remove From List to delete the email address.
