Why Not?

You may have a landline in case there’s an earthquake, wildfire or tsunami.

Personally, I wouldn’t know who to call.  The emergency services won’t be answering, my friends only have cellphones and my family live 6,000 miles away.

Still… it helps many peoples feel secure.

There is one area where you absolutely never want to use a landline… and that’s filling out anything on the internet where you need to provide a phone number.

Companies use phone numbers to send texts, codes and emails to reset passwords and verify your identity.

Although a landline may save your life… you’ll regret the day you were born if you use that phone number online.
