Should You Click Unsubscribe?

Down at the bottom of all junk mail, buried under a minutiae of legal text, you’ll find the ‘Unsubscribe Now’ button. So, what should you do?

If the email is from a company you recognize flogging zero interest credit, unbeatable furniture bargains or a luxury one of a kind bathrobe for $10.99, then go ahead and hit “Unsubscribe”.

They may ask “Why?”

As there’s no option for “You’re bugging the hell out of me”, just click on “I get too many emails.”

If you don’t recognize the company then toss that email in the Trash.

Billions of junk emails are sent out every day to all kinds of addresses with one purpose… to discover if there is a live person on the end.

When you click ‘Unsubscribe’ on this junk mail you’ve answered that question.

You’ve probably already done this, but I wouldn’t worry about it. You know what to do now.

Toss it in the trash.
